Electronic Repeat Dispensing

Our practice is collaborating with NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA), which is providing NHS numbers for those patients that may be suitable for electronic repeat dispensing prescriptions. The information is obtained from NHS prescriptions submitted to the NHSBSA. A member of our clinical team will contact these patients soon to explain the benefits of this service

Be Self Care Aware

Have you seen our ‘Self Care Aware’ leaflets?  The five surgeries in Aldershot worked together to produce some leaflets and other items to help all our patients access the most appropriate service for their care.  Two of our documents are linked below and they contain lots of useful information.  Please do download them to read and keep handy or simply drop into the surgery and pick up your own copy.  We have some other information in the surgery that you may also find useful.

Extended Access GP and Nurse Appointments

GP Services available until 8pm

Evening and weekend access to GP and Nurse appointments launches for all patients in Aldershot.

Local people now have access to later appointments as GP services will be available until 8pm thanks to a new scheme introduced in our area.

Weekend appointments will also be available for routine GP services. The changes mean an increase of opening times and forms part of the CCG’s commitment to improving access to healthcare for local people.

This will not be a walk in service, patients must have an appointment and should contact their own GP Practice in the usual way to book these new appointment times.

All the Aldershot practices have teamed up to offer appointments for local patients but these may not always be at your usual practice or surgery – all the options will be explained to you by the receptionist when you are booking your appointment.

Those who feel unwell are still urged to contact their local pharmacy, GP or phone 111, the NHS non-emergency telephone number; to reduce the pressure on A&E departments and hospitals.

Patient Online Service

As per Government regulations, this practice offers the facility for patients to view online, export or print detailed coded information held in their own records.

To access this information just log into Patient Access and click on Medical Record.  If you do not yet have a log-in, just ask one of the reception team to print you a log-in sheet.

Friends and Family Survey

The NHS Friends and Family Test

The NHS Friends and Family Test (FFT) is an opportunity for you to easily provide feedback on the services that we provide at The Border Practice.  We value your feedback as it helps us to develop our services.

Please just click on the link below to start the short survey.  Should you not wish to complete the survey on-line, please ask one of our team for a printed copy.

Named GP for all patients

All patients now have a Named GP.  This GP will have overall responsbility for the care and the support offered via our surgery.  You can still, of course, book appointments to see any of our GPs.  Either select the appropriate name when booking on-line or let our Receptionist know your preference when booking by telephone or in person.  We hope that the continuity of seeing a named GP will be of benefit to you.

View Your Medication, Immunisations, Allergies and Coded Medical Record On-Line

If you have a Patient Access log-in (On-Line Appointments and Repeat Prescription Service), you can now view your medication, allergies and immunisations that we have recorded for you on our clinical systems.  To view this information all you need to do is log-in as if you were making an appointment; you will then see a new section marked ‘Medical Record’.  Just click on ‘View Your Medical Record’ and the details will show.  Please note that this information can only be viewed via your personal Patient Access log-in.  If you don’t yet have a log in, just follow the link at the top of our home page and request a log in or contact reception.

The 1 1 1 Service

If you feel you need urgent medical advice during the day you can call the 111 service.  This is also the number you dial when our surgery is closed to access the Out-of-Hours service.  Simply dial 111 on any phone and you will be connected to a skilled advisor who will be able to assess how best to deal with your query.

Call 111 when it’s less urgent than 999
