Urgent

For urgent, non-emergency appointments during opening hours, please call the surgery on 01252 844 434.

Our reception team will take some information and send this to our triage doctor to review and you will get a response on the same day.

Routine

For routine issues, you can contact the surgery by either:

  • Filling in an online form
  • Calling the surgery on 01252 844 434
  • Walking in to speak to our receptionists

You will normally be given a choice between a telephone or face to face appointment, although in some cases you may need to be seen in person.

We offer routine doctor and nurse appointments on one Saturday each month.

The wait time for routine GP appointments is usually 2 to 3 weeks, but if you need to see another clinician, the wait is usually much shorter.

If you request a telephone appointment, please ensure we have your current contact number on record.  On the day, we will attempt to reach you twice, so please be available to take the call.

If you arrive late for an appointment, you might not be seen.

 Home Visits

Medical attention is better dealt with at the surgery where full examination and treatment can be administered so we prefer patients to visit us in surgery.  Please ring the main switchboard before 10.30am if you think you need a home visit and be prepared to tell the receptionist about your condition so that we can decide the best way to assess you.  The Doctor may wish to speak with you on the telephone.  Home visits are made by a paramedic.

A home visit is usually only carried out in the following instances:

  • Terminal illness
  • Severe illness
  • Housebound patients or those unfit to travel
